Operating System Update: CentOS 7.1 now available

CentOS has announced the release of CentOS Linux 7 build 1503, otherwise named CentOS 7.1. http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2015-March/021006.html

We have of course already updated the installations to bring you this latest version.

The Release Notes are available here:
http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7

As CentOS is a clone of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the details of this update are available on the Red Hat website: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/7.1_Release_Notes/chap-Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux-7.1_Release_Notes-Storage.html

Some interesting points:
– LVM cache: possibility to use SSD as a cache device for LVM
– Docker 1.4.1
– OpenSSH 6.6.1
– new libguestfs tools: virt-builder, virt-diff, virt-log, virt-v2v, …

You can (and should!) update your current version with the “yum update”.
